Powerful change of my "state" this morning. I had a busy day yesterday and did not get to sleep till the wee hours of the morning. I woke up feeling the tremendous amount I had to accomplish, and with my mind still reviewing how I did at a speaking engagement the night before. Like usual, I began the day with my Creator. As I did, I thought of what I have talked about several times with my YFF councilors - often when we are accomplishing the most good there is the most opposition. I also felt powerfully that no matter what opposition comes, I can choose to face and overcome it.
Instantly, I felt better - refreshed, confident, ready, powerful. In the matter of about two seconds, my whole state of being changed. I approached the day with renewed zest, and have learned some of the most powerful things possible, I think, in my life right now.
Today was a good day! I can't express how powerful the action of serving others is. After the conference call this morning, I had the opportunity to serve, it was for my parents, and it felt great. It really was the beginning to a really good day. Its so simple... to go out of our way and be selfless. The reward is happiness, everytime without fail. I love it! It is the one lesson that stands out in what God wants me to learn, to become selfless in my actions. It can be so hard, but the outcome of it, is always worth it.
I can't wait for YFF! Those 3 days with the Youth, are all about serving. Its 3 days, that we can give our all to those youth. In return, they will change out lives as well. Its such a blessing. Its been such a great day! I look forward to another one tomorrow. :)
